School feeds are messy. "GR 4 FIELD TRIP โ MEET 8:15 BUS LOOP" is not a name a nine-year-old can parse. Rename it, or assign it to the right child, and Happy Herd flags that correction so the next refresh doesn't overwrite you.
It also learns: correct "gymnastics" to Emma twice and it stops asking.

About the calendar
Will it import our school calendar?
If your school publishes a calendar feed โ most do, through the district site or a system like the ones in the provider list โ then yes. If the link turns out to be a sign-in page rather than a feed, Happy Herd tells you that specifically instead of importing nothing and staying quiet.
Can I use it without connecting anything?
Absolutely. Adding events by hand, by voice, or by photographing a flyer all work with nothing connected.
Do you sign in to school portals for us?
No, deliberately. Handing your school-portal password to an app is a bad trade, and some vendors forbid it outright. Happy Herd works with published feeds, links you paste, and forwarded emails.
Can kids add events?
Kids can view every calendar screen and edit an event. Adding a new event is behind the parent PIN, as is deleting one and sharing the schedule out.
